Safety Measures

We are the only indoor swim school in the county to have complete outside ventilation. Isn't your child worth attending the safest facility in San Diego?

At Callan Swim School your family and their safety comes first. We pride ourselves on having the cleanest and safest facility in the county. During this shutdown we have drained and sanitized our pool. Our filtration is now five times what the county mandates, and we have an independent company routinely testing our water to ensure your safety. Being a small family run business, we have the ability to maintain a high level of quality control for our pool and instructors. It is critical that we re-open safely and under the guidance San Diego public health officials. Below you will find a list of changes to our program. Thank you for supporting our local family business without your support we would not be able to reopen.

Safety & Social Distancing Measures:

-Face masks are required to be worn by all customers. Employees will wear face masks when not in the water. Children under the age of 12 are not required to wear face masks.

-Touch free temperature scans will be conducted on all employees prior to their shift. Temperatures at or in excess of 100.3° will be refused entry.

-Everyone will need to maintain at least 6 feet distance from each other, with the exception of family members who share the same household.

-Initially we will only be allowing private lessons to ensure the safest experience possible.

-Private swim lessons will be 15 minutes in length. Two children of the same family will be eligible to swim for 30 minutes.

-Our new private lesson format gives each student 25 minutes of additional lesson time than before.

-Swim lessons will be spaced out six feet or more in the pool.

-Swim play areas will be closed until further notice.

-If you are sick or showing symptoms of COVID-19, please stay home and get well.

-Students are asked to dress prior to entering the facility.

-All families are asked to enter the facility five minutes prior to class to ensure proper social distancing.

-All employees have been told not to come to work if they are sick.

-Any employee that comes to work feeling sick and or shows COVID-19 symptoms will be sent home immediately.

Sanitation Efforts:

-We will be disinfecting all surfaces multiple times per day. These areas include (not limited to): workstations, countertops, door knobs, and benches.

-Hand sanitizer will be placed at various locations throughout our facility.

-Professional deep cleaning will be formed on nightly basis with approved CDC cleaning agents.

-Bathrooms and other common areas will be disinfected frequently throughout the day.

Chlorine Clean Pools:

NOTE: There is no evidence that the virus that causes COVID-19 can be spread to people through the water and pools.

-We are confident we have the cleanest and safest facility in the county.

In 60 years, we have never had an issue with any illness being transmitted to another person/child.
